Inspired by West's time in the lawless Kowloon Walled City before it was demolished, these little boxes symbolize the haphazard homes that were built by the residents who called it home. These homes, and the city itself, became constant acts of defiance of local government, and the dripping paint represents the chaos of life in what was in its heyday the most densely populated place on Earth.
