A Red, Red Rose

My love is like a red, red rose, penned poet Robert Burns centuries ago. This painting was inspired by a tumble of dark pink and vibrant red roses that were features of my grandmother’s friend Ann in her garden. I used to love exploring her flower garden an in late summer and drinking in deep breaths of sweet rose scent.
