James Talon is a Brighton-based artist known for his innovative approach to blending painting and sculpture. He describes himself as having been "dragged up during the miserable, 3 day week, blackout that was the 1970's," and his art reflects his journey through various cultural movements like punk, new wave, and rave.

Talon often transforms everyday objects, such as razor blades, music cassettes, and even sweet wrappers, into exaggerated, witty creations adorned with graphic motifs. His work is a blend of large-scale, three-dimensional sculpture and graphic symbolism, elevating mundane items into art. He cites music and pop art, particularly the master of pop art, Andy Warhol, as key influences.

His art has been exhibited in various cities, including Brighton, London, Miami, and Chicago. Some notable works include pieces that reimagine classic album covers (like Nirvana's "Nevermind" or David Bowie's "Heroes") as large-scale cassette sculptures, as well as oversized sculptures of familiar items like Durex packets, Rizla papers, and even Heinz sauces.
